The Tommy Wheel Bearing Puller is the industry™s most efficient tool when it comes to stubborn wheel bearing hubs. Tommy allows techs to pull the wheel bearing in seconds on select Ford and Subaru models. Unlike other tools on the market that pull at an angle, Tommy removes the bearing by using three robust push rods to triangulate the force. This delivers a tremendous amount of energy and pulls the bearing out straight, just like it was installed.

The Tommy Subaru Push Rod Backing Plates provide the Tommy Subaru rods with a more stable surface to push against. They give technicians a foothold on the hub while the three rods deliver the directed force of an air hammer.

The Tommy Wheel Bearing Puller is the industry’s most efficient tool when it comes to stubborn wheel bearing hubs. The Tommy Subaru Hub Puller allows techs to pull the wheel bearing in minutes on select Ford and Subaru models. It takes only a few minutes to bolt the tool to the wheel hub, and it takes less than 30 seconds to pull the bearing free.

Our wheel bearing puller uses Grade-8 bolts to fasten the tool directly to the wheel hub, and five-set screws balance the load ensuring the hub will be pulled straight out every single time. The primary pulling force comes from the pushrods applying a triangulated force against the backplate. It takes only a few minutes to bolt the tool to the wheel hub, and it takes less than 30 seconds to pull the bearing free.

TIPS FOR USE

  • Striking the bearing with an air hammer at an angle as if to rotate the bearing, prior to mounting Tommy, and during the extraction of Tommy is recommended.
  • Use of the air hammer will break the corrosive bond between the bearing and its knuckle.
  • Check your grease gun before use to ensure they have wheel bearing grease vs. ball joint grease. ProMaxx recommends our Anti-Wear Extreme Pressure Grease (PMXPPG016).
  • Consider pairing this item with the Tommy Rail: This accessory works with our Tommy Wheel Bearing Puller and allows technicians to apply even more force to the wheel hub to make any wheel bearing removal quick and easy.
