This is the Milton® M-Style® safety coupler. The key factor in this, is it actually releases the air out of the tool or the hose before it’s actually disconnected. It’s a key factor so that the hose is not flailing all over the place.
Let me show you how that works. The first time I push the button, you can hear that it actually releases all the air, but still retains the plug inside the coupler. The second time I push it, it actually releases the plug from within the coupler.

Here’s how a Milton® push button M-style® safety coupler works. On my tool side I have my M-style® plug, on the hose side I have my M-style® coupler. All I simply have to do is push the tool inside the coupler - you’ll hear it click twice and I’ll know it’s locked into place.
Now how do I release it? You see this red button over here? If I push it once, it actually releases all of the air out of the tool - but yet- it is still retained inside of the coupler. I push it one more time and it actually releases from the coupler and that is how a Milton® push button safety coupler works.

Here's how to replace the valve inside of a Milton® Inflator Gauge.
The first thing you always want to do is you always want to make sure there’s no pressure going into the tool so the first thing I’m going to do is disconnect the air hose from the inflator gauge.
The first thing you need to do is use a large bladed screwdriver and turn this nut on the bottom side of the casting counter-clockwise until it’s loose - I can undo it by hand remove the nut because I’ll need to save that for later.

Hey Milton® has really done their homework on their new blowgun line. It features everything from the basic blowgun all the way up to a comfort handle with a bunch of different attachments to it.
Part of that line is the S-164 – similar to the S-174, but this one has a fixed rubber nozzle at the top there. You’ll also notice some of the same features as the S-174 –
- It’s got a brass ¼” inlet
- Of course, I’ve got to put on the Milton® 727 M-style® plug – it’s been around for 70 years, can’t miss it
- Classic Milton® logo
- No flow control – look at the S-174 that’s got flow control
- Hang hook
- Hang loop
- And if you notice on the handle, what’s really cool about the handle - my fingers don’t slide off. It actually catches my pinky just at the end of it so my hands don’t slip off. I have a better grip on it. You want a better grip when using a blow gun and of course, always wear those safety glasses.
Here’s one more great accessory that Milton® has added to the blow gun line. It’s a chip shield it fits any 6mm nozzle blow gun. All I gotta do is slip it on the end of the blow gun, turn the little screw here and I’m done. What the chip shield does is prevents – not all of it – but it prevents a lot of the blow back of small material coming right back at me. Of course I’m always wearing safety glasses, but this is just another extra safety measure. This is great for blowing off metal shavings, let me show you how it works.
